We are constantly shaken in a reality where we cannot see even an inch ahead, like reeds in the fierce wind. However, the true reason we are distinguished from other beings is that we do not stop even in that wavering and contemplate our own lives. Even when swept away by pain and uncertainty, the human thought that contemplates its meaning ultimately exerts a greater power than any trial.
